Description: The Hispanic Heritage Society of Texas, this state's youngest cultural awareness organization, seeks several highly talented and dedicated interns. You can choose to work with our policy, communications, membership, events, website design, development, or education programs. The positions are unpaid but may offer stipends. Interns do not have to live in the Houston area to work.

Duties: HHS interns are engaged in a number of hands-on activities which vary depending upon the division of HHS they choose to work with. We rely heavily on our interns to help us carry out the important work of HHS to advance the cause of young Hispanics in Texas.
Job Requirements: Applicants are required to have excellent academic records and strong writing and communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the Hispanic community, history, and current issues is a plus. Applicants should also have a deep sense of commitment to advancing cultural awareness and rights of Hispanic Americans. Ability to write and speak Spanish and English fluently is highly desirable. Most communication will be conducted through e-mail and telephone. Computer knowledge is important.
